He11o, 2011

2011 brought in a lazy day since we stayed out pretty late for New Year's Eve. We spent most of the morning in our pajamas watching our 2010 home videos. It was so much fun to reminisce on this past year and all the wonderful memories. Usually I would cook a nice ham, black-eyed peas, cabbage, THE WORKS, complete on our fine China. But, this year, I took the lazy route and we ate a late lunch at Black-Eyed Pea. They gave all of us a little cup of peas with our meal and both kids really enjoyed them. We are so excited to see what the year holds. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. We take heart in His wonderful promises that He's left us with from year to year.

Sounds like a great day! I for one am always way too tired on New Years Day to make any kind of fancy meal so we usually end up going out as well.
