Great Gifts

Several years ago we purchased the Just Add Family kit from Home Pointe at our former church in Rockwall. As the kids are getting older, we're starting to see that some of the recipe cards inside are age appropriate to do with the kids. Tonight, we did the Great Gifts card with Faith and Jaxon, separately.

1st-The kids talked to us about some of their most favorite gifts they've ever received.

2nd-The kids made a guess on what our favorite gift was (Faith guess my camera, Jaxon guessed birthday cake) that we'd ever received, and we read a verse to them to give them a small hint.

3rd-Then, we gave each of them a box to open so they could see our most favorite gift. When they opened their gift; they found a picture of themselves. We talked about our favorite times with them, the blessing they are to us, and shared a little about what it was like when they became part of our family.

4th-Last but not least, we said a short prayer with each of them, thanking the Lord for the blessing He gave us as parents to have Faith and Jaxon in our lives.
