Tonight we packed up the family and headed to McKinney High School for Meet the Coach Night. We had so much fun. The A/D had a parent meeting in the gym and then Shawn took us on a tour to see the new auditorium. After that, we headed outside for a cookout. We listened to the band play (that really made me excited for the first football game), and I made sure that Faith watched the cheerleaders so she can take after her mommy :) Unfortunately, the lion and the lioness took priority for Faith and Jaxon this evening. Faith kept saying, "Mommy, there's two lions!" We had a wonderful time until it was time to go. Faith started crying because she did not want to leave her new feline friends. I explained to Faith that her friends had to head inside to get ready for bed. After I said that, she confirmed with me everything they needed to do before going to bed, like, take baths, read books, pray, etc. Of course, I agreed with her, even though I completely lied to her, but at least I was able to make a connection that she would understand. Especially since as soon as we got home, it was her bed time. All in all, the Copeland Pride had a great time!!!
