Faith's First Day of Kindergarten

The day that Faith had been waiting for was finally here! She was so excited about this day, in fact, I wasn't even done getting ready and she had her backpack on and lunchbox in hand; approaching the garage door! Such excitement and such joy for Faith...such sadness for us! This year, Faith has two teachers, Mrs. Kay (for English-speaking days), and her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Gage (for Spanish-speaking days).

Although Faith never really expressed feelings of being scared, but with all the new transition...we felt the verse below was appropriate. The day before, she transitioned into a new classroom at church and the emotions started setting in again for me. No longer are we on the first floor...we've moved up to the second floor, kindergarten/first grade wing. Oh dear!

Our morning started off with the verse we picked out for Faith to start off the new school year:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

Next, we cut off our last loop to our Kindergarten Countdown Chain.

Then, we were off and ready for school...

Faith had such a wonderful day and she couldn't wait to go back. As parents, we couldn't have asked for a better day!! Thank you, Jesus!

So cute! I feel like I've seen her teacher before. Oh my, it's funny that you made those coasters b/c that's the 1st thing I wanted to try... looks easy enough. I like the colors you chose. We'll have to have a girls craft night sometime. I would love to make some sortof holiday christmas decor like a wreath or anything to put on my piano. :)
