For quite some time now, Shawn has heard me mention Ree Drummond, better known as The Pioneer Woman! I just love this lady! I love how she gives step-by-step picture instructions on how to make all her delicious food, I love her humor that she adds along the way, but most of all, I love that everything I've ever made of hers has NEVER let me down. So, in honor of her being on The Food Network Channel today, Shawn made his very first, PW, food item! A blackberry cobbler--the cakey one! Shawn and PW did such a wonderful job (we even made another one for the next day). We loved watching her on T.V. this evening, as well, she showed her viewers how to make her sinful cinnamon rolls. I was so intrigued and hungry that I made five of my own pans, wrapped em' up, and delivered them all around Mckinney. My little elves, Faith and Jaxon, made the deliveries for me while I sat in the car. I was in the kitchen for several hours, but it was so worth it. The maple-glaze frosting on top of the rolls was to die for! We got to watch their small-town parade with Malboro Man (her husband) and children, while she was back at the house showing viewers how to make an amazing, Christmas dinner. I picked up on some tricks and tips along the way! Thank you, Ree Drummond for bring smiling faces to our dinner table, and for making things easy for this wife and mommy!
So proud of my MALBORO Man--without the cowboy hat! :) |
